Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Not after the mini heart attack and the trial dr. telling me it was not a result of the medicine but because I have high blood pressure. The trial people would have me continue their trial regardless and then when something else happens they'll just quickly claim it was not the medicine's fault. I'm done. They only have the $$$$ in their interest, not people who suffer from HCV.
And remember...if you have the slightest onset of similar symptoms CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY - DO NOT HESITATE...

One thing I learned during my treatment is to make sure they send all lab reports to your primary care. I always thought they did that automatically but they don't. I just think the primary care doc needs to know what all the other docs are doing.My primary care saved my life by noticing the hep c, when I had been going to a rheumatologist for yrs, she didnt think it was a problem that my liver enzymes were always elevated and thank God he did.
He also saved my bro-in-laws life when he noticed a lump on his neck, he had non-hodgkins lymphoma.
My aunt is an R.N and she explained to me that primary care docs treat and are looking at the entire body, where the rheumatologist is only looking at the arthritis.
