Hi Aimee. I am Pastor Bob (Yes I really am a minister). I went through tx last summer and early fall but had to quit six weeks short of completion due to contracting severe pneumonia and complications. The side effects to tx can be difficult but there are steps you can take to minimize them. Stay strong my sister. Remember that you are never alone.

Each person has different reactions to the treatment so not one person can say how it will affect you.
I understand how scared you are. The unknown is a nasty thing.
Just keep posting here. Ask questions and by all means...tell the doctor you want copies of everything. The docs little notes he/she takes, especially the bloodwork. Give your mom a hug from me and tell her I say "thank you" for directing you to the right place. She's a good mom.

Hey guys .. I posted on here a few weeks ago. I'm new too and waiting to start my treatment. I've been waiting for 3 weeks now for the damn insurance company to approve it and mail it already. The anxiety I have just waiting to start is enough to drive me crazy .. and on top of that I'm an accountant and it's tax season so I'm STRESSED OUT!! So can I join in on your lil' newbie group thats' startin tx soon? xoxo *d*

I know the anxiety of waiting can get really bad. Try to relax and when you begin know that you have a whole team of experts that have been where you are. Here for you if needed, Joni You can come to us any time you need any little thing. Here to support if you need me. Send a message anytime. I've been through TX myself and helped my daughter and husband go though theirs. I know more than I ever thought I could. Best of luck to all the newbie's starting treatment!!!!

I have been on treatment since January and it's not been that bad for me. I am not sure what scares you - the idea of using a needle or the worry about side effects. Once you get that first one out of the way, and you know more what to expect, you will feel better about it.
Try to think positive and not let fear control your thoughts. Remember that you get back what you send out into the universe, so send out some optimistic power thoughts and see what happens.

hi aimee im lyall id like to welcome u to this lovley site,ive only jst joined my self and find it a good sourse of strainght.ive been on treatment for 7 weeks and im going to finish it god willing!keep toped up with water and stay on top of the moistuarising youl be ok it can be hard but not imposible,stay conected
