I spoke with my Dr.'s office this afternoon. The second set of labs is back and the news is not good. After 24 weeks of treatment, five months as undetectable and in just over two weeks after completing TX, my viral load is 215,000. The treatments didn't work. I'll meet with my Dr. when I get back from my trip and see what my options are.

yea the percentage of non-responses is still dismal rob. good luck to the researchers determined to fix this.

I'm very sorry to learn this, & somewhat surprised. I felt certtain you would SVR.
Its ok, tho. you are in good company. i'm a non responder, too. By being on DS, I've met so many non responders who went thru tx 3 times.
My plan is to taker very good care of myself, be thankful I'm given everything I need each day.
Maybe a super tx will come around. I m not a candidate for the 48wk program.
I know He will take care of me no matter what happens.

Im sorry tx didn't work, what is your geno ? they may want you to take it longer. I know my doc said that if mine had not worked that he would bring me and we would do the full year of tx and not just the 24 weeks. luckily so far im good, but maybe you just needed a longer time frame, everyone's time is different, dont give up hope yet, keep fighting. It can be done and there are success stories out there, and im one of them. i had geno 1a which is the hardest to respond to tx and it is gone 6 months post tx. we are all here to support you ! keep fighting the fight and you will succeed.

I am so sorry to hear this..but just a question.. what other type of meds did the Dr have you on? I only ask because some medicines will raise your vl..like Nexuim..and some antibiotics as well

I am sorry Rob but , go do things and get your health back and just keep your liver in your mind when you eat and drink like Makiah has always done and then the next round of battle with this tricky virus you will have the upper hand. Be safe on your trip ........
