I've always enjoyed spending a week or two in Havana. I think it's awesome the things are finally opening up between Cuba and the United States after all these years.

When I lived in Floridah, my evil twin & I would often drive off to Havana.
I'll never get back there now, and that is well. I am exactly where I want to be. I've had a great, exciting life, did as wished, went wherever I willed. I love being home.

i would think that since people on this sight are struggling for thier life that we would want to depose of a regime that has regularly imprisioned and murdered politicl opponents. Instead we will be rewarding them.

I was going to stay away from this thread (because YES, this is 100% political) until I saw what you posted, Conolpsaro. First, I agree with you - totally - but I don't want to get into political debates here, so that's all I say on that. Second, it should have been labeled "OT". Third, some people like to post things to rile others up. I have learned to ignore them - but I still don't like it. There are other forums for political discussions - but - the "fun" for the posters is, as I said, to agitate others. Rather sick imho. So Conolpraso - it's a good forum on the whole - and the person who started this one was wrong not to put the "OT" label on it. There is much to learn about HCV and treatment - so your choice whether to stick around or not - and I will apologize for the person who misled you in not putting the "OT" label on this thread. She wants us to all start snapping at each other over a POLITICAL issue - has happened many times.

peace back, roboto. I over-reacted just a bit. Just that "political" threads do tend to start flare-ups on here, as you know. Also, someone else who used to hang here is the one I really was thinking about, I guess - laying down a threads that were bound to get folks' dander up.

When it comes to this "Cuba" thing I have very strong opinions about it having lived in Florida for many years and being a teenager when Castro came to power. Russia got a foothold into the USA back then or at least got within arm's reach - an easy missile launch reach. A lot of human suffering going on down there on that island and an evil regime. Why we are catering to them --- I don't get it.
