Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. My sister was recently diagnosed with hepC and she has a multitude of other different abilities that she was born with. My issue with the treatment used is that she can not tell me what is going on as she does not have the ability to talk. she just started treatment last friday and has been crying ever since with diahrea and not sleeping. I dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!except for crying which is a nice release but not helpful in the deciusion making process.
I hold her always and we play alot to help her to smile thru it all. What should I expect??/She is going on with the second shot in the series tonight, is the diahrea an automatic thing? she is eating and getting water like crazy, the D has slowed to a bare minimum, now we are making sure that we treat the viral thing she is experiencing on top of the symptoms from treatments. Wow we were never told of depression!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MY sister is NPO because she is fed all nutrients via a peg or enteral feedings< i wish i could use peanut butter (maybe just a taste :}
I have take a natural supplement call alpha beta by Standard Products when I have had diarea. It worked for me. My chiroprator carries it.
Your sister is on treatment so she should get what ever new she may introduce to her system ok'd by her doctor.
