Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
As for tainted supplies, we can all get tainted meat, pickles, cheese, spinach, Tylenol, water, air, etc. Do what you feel comfortable with. Most don't have any big problems that meet the screening criteria.

I've never had a flu shot in my life. I've always been skeptical of them and felt that generally healthy people don't need them. Problem is, I'm not very healthy now!
I'm having a really hard time right now with depression, plus I'm getting blurry vision at night. I have an appointment next week with the eye doc to check that. My doctor didn't seemed to be that concerned, but it's not his eyes.
So... all in all, I'm reluctant to add another unknown into the mix. I think I will pass for now.

Bob, sorry you are feeling blah. It sucks but tx will not last forever. THe end results are so worth it, IMO.
