Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I have already tested negative. I guess I just didn't really like his reasoning. The odds that his mom has it and he just randomly acquired it from a safe tattoo place seems a bit coincidental. Although it would be better because he would have had the virus less time.
The doctor said Milk thistle wouldn't hurt but also there is no proof that it actually helps. I just don't like feeling like I'm stuck in this box of medical opinion. Thats why I'm glad we are going to another doctor.

Yea *some* people who have the virus for awhile still have no liver damage, usually because they didn't drink ate healthy etc. and some people get the virus and it does quick damage so it just depends. I'm pretty sure I've had the virus for 22 yrs and I have no liver damage.
