Maybe I am brainwashed - lol - more like brain wiped. I do not like being a resident of the state of AZ - 20 years now - maybe it's all gotten to me. I don't know. I sure tried not to join the general mentality of people living here, but maybe I failed in the end. I tried to state that my feelings were non-partisan. Guess that part got missed - or maybe I was seeming to be "pro" Romney too much - or whatever. Shit, I don't care anymore.

This is getting too contentious for me, this discussion, and I'm taking it personally when so far today I've read two "attacks" on what I wrote. Of course, we all have a right to our opinion (but that may not last much longer). Of course, these were not attacks but differences of opinion, but ... I sure got singled out. Ouch.

Well, I just realized I should've put OT in the title of this post, so sorry about that, I'm a bit rusty here~
Also, I didn't mean to start any political differences or make anybody feel like attacking or being attacked.
I admit to being ignorant about Politics, I dont study what is going on at all, so I thought I may learn a bit, by posting this.
I have met tons of cool people who I prob dont agree with politically, on all things, but people are people :) And I love eyeryone, or I will sure die trying to

You know I would most wholeheartedly agree with you that using the race card is a really bad excuse or defense to use when there isn't an issue of race...

But, if you think that President Obama has not been attacked in just about every turn, in every incident, in just about every way because most the Republicans just don't like him for no reason at all other than the fact that he's a liberal/democrat and nothing else, then I have to say that you haven't seen, or heard many of the overt&obvious attacks made on him from the right by inferring that because he's black with so many different types of media used, that he must be stopped or challenged for everything he does or says...

Or that he was born a muslim and is secretly trying to impose sharia law upon all of us, or because he wasn't born in the USA and challenging his getting into Harvard Law School, or anything else the right wing & extremist republicans could come up with that is absolutely NOT true then, I know of a bridge in Brooklyn connected to Manhattan in New York City that's on the market for sale really cheap!!!

Cat, I'm sorry if I singled you out when I wrote my response in defense of our President! If it came across like that I apologize because that was not my intent!

My intent was to point out that when one lives in a region where it's a "Red" or conservative/republican state(s) and claim to be so called "Loving Christians" yet actually are being hypocrites about it and attacks everything that even hints of being a result of, or originating from liberal ideology, and one could easily expect to become inundated with Right wing brainwash/propaganda on even an hourly basis...

And yet it's not their fault that they think that way because it's really hard to fight off barrage after barrage of constant and never ending hypocrisy especially when there's very little or no opportunity to understand what's happening from a liberal/democratic perspective which at times can be inundating when one lives in blue liberal/democratic states or regions also...

Somewhere between the two ideologies there's the closest thing to the truth and I wish that there were more Bernie Sanders in the mix of what is now a totally dysfunctional congress!

So please don't misunderstand me in thinking that you're a bad person or anything of the sort because you have been one of the nicest people I have met in here and I wouldn't want you to think that at all okay?

I just disagree with some of the things you wrote, and nothing more and nothing less dear.
