Hi Patty- for me, it's been pretty common to keep a low grade fever... Generally around 99.1-99.5. My doc's office told me that anything over 100.5 to call them... Hope this helps!

I have had low grade fevers too and my Dr said same thing, if it gets over 100.5 or 101..she changed it to 101 after I whined & complained about going to ER. I feel the worst for two days after shot. I feel like I have a fever but yesterday when I took temp it was actually below normal. But I definately felt the flu-like symptons Sat afternoon & all day Sunday + eye pain + extreme fatigue...but thankfully no fever this wknd. DID NOT want to go to ER.

my norm has always been 97.6..ever since i was a child,,norm is 98.6..but i'm not normal u see...hehe..lol...now on tx. its been about 98.4to 98.6 which is high for me..........yea tx.will raise or lower u're temp...u have a very hard battle going on right now,,wouldn't worry unless it gets to high...fight on

Treatment also lowered my blood pressure.I was taking medication and had to stop medication because it went so low. I felt fever and chills after shot 1 2 and 3 but seems better now

Patty, I had fevers with my shot all through treatment and they, in fact, got much worse towards the end of my 48 weeks of treatment. Some weekends I'd have fevers of 102 for a couple of days and then the fever would return midweek for a day or so.

Keep your doctor advised but don't worry.

Thank you so much everyone. I wasn't sure whether I could go to work with one or if this was happening to others or if I was being a big baby. I am SO tired of being in the bed. Tomorrow I fight to go to work again, I just took shot 3 on Friday so maybe it will get better and maybe not, but that doesn't have to stop us. Stayed home today and felt guilty of course. Can't remember who I read was working between 45-50 hr work weeks - before tx I was working between 43 and 45 but now I strive for 6 hrs a day. Problem is that sometimes I wait too long to leave and then have to drive home.

my temp is normally around 98.1 but during treatment it hovered around 99.

Patty, when you feel you need to stay home from work, you are not being a wimp and you should not feel guilty. I worked all through my 48 weeks of treatment but I had a desk job and I used my vacation days as sick days so that I could take one day a week off (usually Mondays because my shots were on Friday). There were some weeks that I didn't need to take a day off but, when I needed it, I took it.

Do what you can but don't overdo. Your body knows so listen to it and you will do fine.

It really depends on the person. Some only have a fever for a few days after their shot
