Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
It took me two weeks to "adjust". Hopefully things jell for you as well.
One more thing- I started on 1200mg because of my weight, I'm not a small gal (LOL) now lowered to 800mg.
I am super sensitive to most medications for some reason, so I'm not surprised to feel effects so soon. I just hope the dose isn't too high for me and this is just my "adjustment period". ;-) . One thing I am glad of is that these come in 200 mg pills, so reducing them would be easy if I end up having to. Still not sure why doc ordered such a high dose. Maybe he wants to make good and sure sure we knock this bugger out on our first try as insurance might not pay for a second round! :-/
Overall, I'm good. And made it through this first day. Only 83 more to go!! I am so grateful to have you all as buddies as I go through this. xoxo
