48 week Tx DUH moment

I was wondering why no one on the site had talked about completing 48 weeks on the triple treatment. Then I remembered that this treatment hasn't been approved by the FDA long enough for anyone to have completed 48 weeks. Everyone on this new treatment needs to be commended for being a pioneer of sorts. Trust me, I wouldn't be on this new treatment if I had any options. So thanks to all who have gone before me and come to this site to share your experiences. Nancy

Tulsa, thanks for stating the obvious. Quodo's to warriors on treatment. There are a few people wrapping up 3x tx as we speak some already. It's a long journey. I did a quad trial with interferon,rebetrol & protease.

Plus there are other drugs in the pipeline. BUT It will be years for fda approval - so your best best is to hunt and join a clinical...........the true guinea pigs - lol

My doc said that I didn't have the three years to wait until the next tx makes it through the trials. And I can't go into a clinical trial because I have the other big C. So this is it for me. It is so important for me to take control of the things that I can. I can't make the meds kill the virus, but I can try to control the side effects and try to stay positive. Thank you DS friends. Yes Nancy we will not have any real info on prescribed tx'ers till this Summer at best.

You too are a pioneer, and I thank you for being a courageous part of these momumental times in medical history.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
