Hemochromatosis Support Group
Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.

Hello! I have YEARS dealing with so many issues in my body and thanks to my wife I finally know I may have Genetic Hemoc. I am 45 years and unfottunately showing many of the symptoms already:
Daily joint pain (more intense in hands and knees), daily muscle pain (suffering often musscle tear), extreme fatigue, heart pain, bronze skin, hair lose, mind fog, low sex drive.
Of course I did not know i genetic condition could be the cause of the multiple problems I have now. People, including my wife, all the time told me I was hypochondriac, that all those pains were my mind creations or that I was looking for attention. But it was my wife, reading a genetic book for nutrition who found this disorder and because I have been always telling here my multiple pains, she knew that's what I have.
I just knew this 2 days ago and now starting the process to get all the test and blood donation since seems my body is VERY close to have a major collapse now.
I just starting with the major diet changes so at least I do not add more Iron to my body but seems I need to drain my blood as soon as possible, so I am hoping next week the latest to start this procedure.
Everything start falling BIG time 5 years ago but more critically this year...I live in a lot of pain now and once I know what I have (although not diagnised yet) I feel a little bit better and with hope. I am in south Florida
