Yay, I got a one week reprieve. Oh Kathy, you have nooo idea :) I have totes and boxes in my livingroom, hallway, and both bedrooms. Along with furniture to move. But thank you for the well wishes. Today, I filled my recycle tote, 60 gallons, with all the shredding I've been doing for two days. Not even halfway through.
Tomorrow, I will try to get to recycle center with cans and bottles. Need to get rid of the old to make room for the new.

I love getting a new bed....my old bed is sort of new...I got sleep number bed about two or three years ago....I wish I had gotten the one that raises and lowers the head of bed....but I just could not afford the extra at that time but the bed was not cheap either by all standards I think I paid $2500 for my bed....??

I would not leave the showroom with anything less than an adjustable bed. My salesman was very good. I told him I was in pain all the time and he asked me if I had fibro. I, of course, went to the $9000 model. He told me to try another bed that he thought was softer and cheaper. It was perfect. This is the bed that I will die in :)

How do you like your sleep number bed? They sound pretty comfy too. Can you order the adjustable base at a later date?

Marion, good thing you found something reasonable that is a good fit for you. And you will get there with the house. Mine is still waiting for me, too. I have closets that need to be sorted out and redesigned and I am still working on my son's room. And all the give away stuff is accumulating on my enclosed front porch. I currently have 9 full sized garbage bags stuffed with clothes, toys and computer items, a desk and rugs out there, It is a mess but will all be cleared out when I am ready to call them to haul it away!

Hang in there, it will get done!

Oh goodness and I though my bed set was costly! I have slept in a sleep number bed while vacationing in Davenport IA...my number is 35...loved it!

Marion you made me smile about throwing your crafts against the wall. I had one of those tantrums once and threw my favorite coffee mug down the driveway. It shattered and I had to clean it up but I felt better and hubby was unharmed....LOL

My ex wife wounded me once with a bowl of rice I had just cooked....she threw it down at my feet the bowl broke and piece hit my leg and I bled....so I took one of the two Amway Coffee Cups I won at Amway home in Mich and dang it I broke it on her 12in tv screen that I smashed with it...LOL

I do not know if you can buy the adjustable base at a time after your purchase of the original bed...I bet the price would be ridiculous thou....so until I kick this sleep number bed to the curb I do not have the raising head on my bed....LOL

I feel pretty good about what I got done today. It was in the corner of my dining room that has been used as a catchall. I have assembled 4 small boxes of cleaning products. Some I will not use, but I think they may have to go to the hazardous household products drop off spot. I have several boxes of books to donate. Several bags of stuff for the garage sale.

Next, I will attack the catchall corner in my living room. My sewing table has the sewing machine and projects beneath it and on top is all the mail, magazines, and books that I need to return or to read. Then I have 3 boxes that I had brought in from the garage to sort.

Well, I better stop here. I am beginning to feel overwhelmed. Steady does it.

Marion, that's an awesome start! And good plan to take it a step at a time. It won't overwhelm you then.

Bill, thanks for the heads up about AMVETS. I didn't know they would pick up. I will call them when I am ready to have it all go. I am still working. Closets and cabinets after my son's room is done.

new bed is good............and I understand about the stuffing into corner or against wall....
right now I started on the spare room where lots of small nick nack antiques are....its really dusty, and messy...tryig to get it cleaned up and less furniture and put away those little things......
I want the daughter to know if she needs a baby sitter that I have a clean room and done my part to make the house safe.....later this year ....due In june....and she just might want to hang out with me somedays while off work bonding

Nothing like a new comfortable bed. The problem with my cozy comfortable bed is that I don't want to get out of it. :) Especially, when it is so cold outside. :)

I am supposed to get a call in the morning about when they will deliver. I did not get as much taken care of that I wanted to, but they should be able to get the bed in. I may not get up for a week.
