Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. It occurs when the blood supply to a part of the heart is interrupted, causing death and scarring of the local heart tissue.
I read that Davy Jones of the Monkeys Died of a massive heart attack. They also stated he was a vegetarian, had not an ounce of fat on him, and ran for miles evey day. So much for lowering your risk factors. I wonder what his family history was.

attack at age 64 , so i was very aware of the genetic factors. But my HDL has always been too low [like around 30 on Crestor ] even though overall cholesterol was not high.. Started having issues with blood presure in my 40s. Had a heart attack
at 52 just after finishing a workout. My father lived to be 94. My brother and sister are 9 and 12 years older than me , overweight, never workout and dont even have high blood pressure. So , we know whose
gentics I inherited. I suspect the same thing happened with Davy.
