Healthy Sex Support Group
This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.
Second question: Is sex enough to keep people together?
I think there needs to be something that takes the relationship a little further than friendship- you need to be able to tell your partner anything, but at the same time, not need to tell them everything. Some people just love drama, and will seek out the most unsuitable person available, because they can provide an ongoing rollercoaster of emotions towards the enevitable train wreck that the relationship will become. And then they will move on to the next victim. I know too many people like this to think it's a rarity nowadays!
I don't do drama! I can't handle it physically or emotionally. My body actually begins shutting down. Starting with my heart. I had too much drama as a child so that's why, I honestly can't handle too much in that way.
Stress on the other hand is different. I don't mind stress in a relationship if we are both able to work out our issues. It helps the bonding process, which is something I personally like.
(just as a side note, my job is fairly stressful. I LOVE it. Even when the stress is so bad that I have irritable bowel-shakiness and nausea, which happened two weeks ago. I still LOVE my job. ) :D
I've had several conversations with the guy on the above subject. He's most certainly a stress junkie, and goes out of his way to create it. He equates stress with excitement. She obviously likes it, although they fight tooth and nail on every little thing, including communication styles.
I think stress and excitement are two different animals. Excitement occurs when there is a vision to be worked toward, and that vision is achieved! Stress is just chaotic thought. I prefer the former naturally!
My conversation with the girl yielded the comment "My last two relationships didn't work out, because the guy was too nice". So I said "so you like a guy who's a bit of an asshole" to which she said "yeah". Hence they argue. And argue. And argue. But they take that anger into the sack and "work it out", so, for them, it works.
I kinda think some women like men who r assholes. B/c they also put off that bad boy persona. At least thats jmo.
This will forever be the enigma
Magick, I think I love you...
Gomezy3k, I think you have your answer: Don't be TOO nice! When they want to cry on your shoulder, BE an asshole and say "no thanks, got plans".
