Healthy Sex Support Group
This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.
We don't have kids yet, but have gone through some tough shit in the last 3 years that's really lowered my inner attraction towards him. I would love to be having sex, trying new things etc, but I am struggling with my attraction to him and I think this scar tissue and space we had between us (could be kids in your case) serve as hurdles.
I got a vibrator with a bunch of girlfriends years and years ago. I left in the package in a drawer for years. Then, one day in desperation (I think he had gained a bunch of weight and we were going through a really hard time) and gave it a try. I guess I was prudish years ago, but I love my vibrator. I don't use it really often, but it helps me know more about my body. I wouldn't rule getting one of these for her out. It can be fun together too. I think the more I do it, the more I want it.
Also, talking about it, watching a sexual movie or something to get her aroused down there. Maybe touch works for her, something visual or situational helps me. Maybe she's bored of the same routine? That's a biggy for me...
Do you have any suggestions for me? I know it helps when we are both fairly fit and not "feeling fat", choosing a time where I am not completely stressed out, it still isn't really enough.
Good luck. Oh hey, if nothing else, take her on a beach vacation without the kids, have some drinks, get hot oil massages and then see what happens... : )
