The relationship is great and the Diamond ring is in hand. The only "problem" is HOW to ask. I want it to be out of the ordinary. Men - how did you ask your future wife? Ladies - How WOULD you like to be asked?

For me personally, i would want to be asked at sunset, in front of a lake or something, with a beautiful view...

traditional mushy guy on one knee...the whole works.

Unfortunatley, my son found my engagement ring and spoiled the surprise before my hubby got the chance to do that! LOL

How exciting!!

I was proposed to in our favorite park, a historic park in the city that is absolutely beautiful. My husband even asked my father for his permission!

Idmay's suggestion is nice - wanting to be asked at sunset, in front of lake, somewhere with a beautiful view.

I would definitely want romance.Out for dinner and find the ring on my plate or something like that.Of course get down on one knee and ask me to marry you..

any way would be good for me.. my ex fiance showed me the ring on valentine's day while we were riding down the street and said "well will ya?" I wish it would have been more romantic but o well

I was asking on Christmas morning.. He said I love you and will you marry me and it was the sweetest moment of my life.

My Husband has died. But when he proposed to me it was so romantic. He rented a house and carriage, bought a bottle of champagne and he proposed to me on the top of Federal Hill in Baltimore, MD. It was a foogie night. Looking out over the lights on Baltimore City was absolutely gorgeous. Then the horse and carriage dropped us off at this fancy restaurant. We had a great dinner and then went to a luxurious hotel to spend the night. It was just like a fairy tale. Good Luck to you both!!!

Ok... so far so good... Mushy - got it. Romantic - got it. Sunset - got it. hhmmmmm... She has always loved Newport RI. There is an unbelievable seaside walkway - right between the ocean and the famous Mansions.. But I want "more". Something that "nobody" has done...

I love Federal Hill too. We go up there all the time when we are visiting the aquarium. I was asked on Christmas morning. He got on on knee and asked. I was in shock. It is such a great memory!

Federal Hill in Baltimore? We are travelling to Anapolis in November. How close are the two? Don't know if I could wait that long! LOL

federal hill is about 30 mins from annapolis...and it is so pretty looking at he harbor from there

Yes, Federal Hill overlooks Baltimore City's Inner Habor. It is about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes from Annapolis depending on traffic.

First time I was proposed to he tossed me the ring across the cab of the truck... the second time I honestly dont remember him proposing...... So how about buying a box of her fav chocolates and put the ring in there. Open it and offer her a chocolate.......

How about... Horse drawn carriage ride, Newport RI, full moon on a clear night, bottle of champagne,a dozen roses with the ring tied to one of the roses???
