I heard on News Radio 610 WIOD from this jerk who calls himself the "Cigar General" (he's into smoking cigars like Ah-nold) that, in his conversations with women, the overriding reaction was that women are looking for a man who is a "take charge" alpha-male kind of guy, who doesn't ask them where they want to go for dinner but says "we're going here and you're going to wear this dress", virtually taking control of their entire lives. He says that the feminist movement changed the gender roles in America, where women have become the dominant ones and men the complete saps. This, from a man who says has had "harems", where he was the king and his honies flocked around him to please him in every way. In the same breath, he claims he placed these women on pedestals and treated them like royalty. Seems that the two can't co-exist--domination and worship.

I know these are gross generalities and there are certainly variations person-to-person, but I'd like to believe women don't like to be treated as party favors, sex dolls, doormats or window-dressing, and it seems to me there is a fine line between being a man who is confident within himself and a man who is completely full of himself and disrespectful to others, including his woman. Ladies, please tell me that there are a lot of you who like a man who is strong but attentive to your needs and not a complete asshole-! I don't think I would like being such a character.
