Well I've been out of work for the last couple of months, but the agencies are now starting to get a lot more bookings for temporary workers - so the credit crunch might actually work in my favour for a change, because things are so uncertain us temps are more in demand at the moment lol.

Petrol prices are slowly but surely coming down over here as well, so I think that's also helping - people are starting to feel more confident about spending again. All fingers crossed.

Well, it was getting me down. So hard to find a job, been months without one... but thank goodness I found one yesterday! I good one, and they hired me! YAY

we are doing fine with everything luckily channings job wasnt effected by this gas was getting bad for us tho bc channing works 40 miles away but since it has gone back down we're ok i have been bored and im thinking about going back to work part time or something bc of school

My job hasn't been affected by the economy at all and my husband's hasn't either luckily. Still, some of the prices are outrageous, especially gas costing the amount it does! It's ridiculous to pay $4.00 a gallon for gasoline.

Gass here in Phoenix is finally back down to about 2.95 average! Finally can afford to drive to work/school!

Being on a fixed income I do worry about the future of that income - part of it is government (SSD) the other Private Disability Insurance.

I worry that either one could fail and there I would be like the other millions - unable to pay the mortgage.

Trying to find a job that would work around my health issues is not an option :>(

The good news about the world economy - it has brought down the price on a barrel of oil. I HOPE this will also bring down the price of goods that have risen in the past year but that is still to be seen.

One immediate vision of the lower oil prices: gas here in the MPLS area is @ $2.24 gal in some areas of the city this morning.

the average gas in houston is about 2.60 yesterday we saw it at 2.20 that was exciting lol but in my town its about 2.30

LOL I just got a call from my husband saying that he was at the gas station and it cost him $2.90 a gallon! Hopefully the 4 bucks a gallon days are over.

Gina I was so excited the other day when gas was 2.99..Everything is so expensive.The grocery store breaks you.

I know Tray, a loaf of bread is over $3.00! Even milk is between 3 and 4 dollars for a gallon...everything seems to be going up in price.

I know.Potatoes were 5 bucks a bag the other day.I could have died.Even the cheap stuff aint cheap anymore

gas is finally 2 30 here

the food prices are really high here too. for a family of 5 now its cost an average 25dollars to feed everyone. milk is 4 dollars a galon here. bread is almost 4 dollars not cheap anymore

I buy groceries every other week - I shop for 2 weeks' worth at a time. It costs me anywhere from $200-$250 every time I go! And this is for me, my husband and my daughter. Sometimes it may be a little more, but this is on average.
