Healthy Sex Support Group
This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.
Old saying: never turn down a shot-a-leg, it might be your last
I don't know if you've heard of the five love languages. There are 5 basic ways people express love. And there is usually a major predominant one that each person relates best with.
Well, mine is physical touch. So, yes, sex is very equivalent with love to me. (If I'm in that type of relationship, and not just a fwb or fuck buddy.)
Everyone is different. But I will never settle again. Yes, I am sexual. Period. But since I need that to feel loved, thats why I will never ever settle again.
And, yes, distractions do intrude, and that's why it's always important to make time for sexual and romantic love. It's difficult when financial troubles ensue and people must work more and more to simply keep a roof over our heads in this "changing" global economy. And when kids come along, forget it. Sex goes by the wayside in the interest of living vicariously through those extra mouths to feed. When is there time?
There definitely needs to be some "downsizing" of some of a couple's dreams to encourage others. Life is a balancing act. Live in a small apartment instead of the huge house. Own one car instead of two (if that is possible). Eat in instead of eat out. An upsampling DVD player instead of a blu-ray. Target instead of Gucci. Sinking beneath this physical, material world to enjoy true spiritual delights (if spiritual delights are what two people are truly after, which it sounds like all of us are).
