I always joke about giving up romance

I joke about giving up romance for lent but it seems I never go back and take it up again. Which sucks!
Anybody else thinking about holding off for a while and cleaning or remodeling the house or something?
(I'm only half way kidding)

I can't even give up diet soda for Lent, let alone "romance". Still trying to get a steady boyfriend in my life. Got my eye on a Tex/Mex (Hispanic guy born in Texas but Mexican race) who works at the supermarket. He's quite attractive for an older man. Anyone who can get me to wear green eye shadow to the food market at the age of 70 must be pretty hot!

I didn't know there was a Mexican race. Do you mean Hispanic/Latino or Indigenous peoples of Mexico. Maybe a combo?

As far as abstaining from sex for lent, I never put that on my list. Giving up sweets was always high on my list, then went into sugar overload with an Easter basket.

Maybe I should try giving up on sex and the Easter bunny will bring me a basket of erotica..

I won't really give up on the idea of romance. LivingWater, go for it!!!! As far as candy, I don't eat that much anytime. But that basket of erotica sounds pretty good!

Koolman, I was sort of joking about giving up romance. My Catholic friends give up things for lent. That was going to be my thing. It wasn't a serious statement. Relax....

    So mad at Xfinity!  They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today!  Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today.
