well, grades are in. i got a 69%. i guess better than i thought i did, but still not acceptable. it brings my grade down to an 85% in the class as a whole. my only saving grace at this point is that at the end of the semester i can choose to have my worst exam grade dropped and to have my final exam counted twice instead. i already started labeling everything for the next exam even though we havent started yet. i am going to make myself go through it every single night until the exam.

My random post... Today I had dj vu, while I was having dj vu. It was a complete double mind fuck for a few minutes, but it was awesome. That is all.

Only if one of them was a negative deja vu, in which case their respective maxima would cancel each other out, however, mine were both positive so it were double the mind fuck!

Des, I have tips for you as a college instructor AND as a student.
It was my students who actually came to me during office hours who I remembered and who got the best grades. Sitting in the office with no students coming around is boring and lonely, so go ask some questions!
Also, I don't know if you're a visual learner, but I am (and kinesthetic), and this method helped me alot with exams. Put your main concepts on different colors of paper, and then tape them up in a room somewhere. Go in 2 or 3 times a day and stand in the middle of the room and readh through each paper. It's amazing how that visual of "oh, yeah, this is on my blue sheet" comes right back during a test. It helped me immensely!

Okay, now I need advice. I THINK my daughter's guitar teacher is starting to come on to me. How do you deflect and stay friendly? This isn't some random guy I won't ever see - I see him twice a week, and he's a very good teacher. I can't say right in front of my kid "I'm in a relationship" because she doesn't know I am! I am so not used to this, and it's extremely uncomfortable!

I found out from Tiffany today that she prefers Xbox 360 to PS3, and she plays Call of Duty. She is also a big pervert like me. DOUBLE WIN! Also one thing that makes me worry is that 50 Shades of Gray is her favorite book. I mean I get horny from time to time, but damn I'm not a freak. LOL Also found out yesterday or the day before, that she is a dominatrix with her gfs. Well I am open to new things, as long as they don't hurt me.
