I just talking with your Dr. and see if there is anything that can be done. Maybe testosterone shots or cream could help? I just had a long conversation with mine a few weeks ago and he is taking me off Effexor and so far we have dropped 75mg and the ED problem is going away. The problem with Effexor is it is one of the strongest anti-depressants there is and trust me drop 75mg at a time has some serious side effects too. So I understand your thoughts and feeling and wish I had more advice for you, but I am not a Dr. You may need to see a specialist too. I have heard that with older men the prostrate swells as we age and that cuts off blood flow to the penis causing issues with ED, but like I have said I AM NOT A DR. so its best to get a professional opinion.
Best Of Luck

I am sorry for your loss! I cant imagin what you are going through. I lost my brother, and both parents, and my grandfather 3 years ago and I buried all of them in a 15 month time frame. I understand loneliness as I have no family left. I think loosing a spouse would be even harder.
Once again I am sorry and I hope you find a companion.
