I have just recently got in a relationship with a woman. This is my first girlfriend and lets just say i have alot to learn. I fingered her for the first time the other day and noticed an odor. Is that normal? Does the vagina have a certain smell?
I will answer your question as simple as I can. Women & Men have their own natural scent; however, if she has a fishy, mildew, yeasty odor that are loud or make you frown then that is NOT normal. She may have an infection that can be treated simply.
A woman has a natural scent, but it's suttle. Trust me you can tell if she is fresh or not. For you to ask then I would go with that something is not right down there & I bet she knows it too. Good hygeine is very important. If you decide to mention it to her be very gentle. It will embarrass her. Good luck.

The vagina is a self-cleansing muscle. It has to remain sterile inside, in order to keep sperm safe and viable, so it can swim into the cervix, thru the tubes, into the uterus, to pollinate that egg, lol
Now: (listen up!!) Any bacteria that has been pushed out of the v-j-j, by the PC muscles will remain on the outside of the Vag, and creep into nooks and crannies. Add some nylons, or tight polyster containing (non-breathing) material to this mix, and that bacteria will grow!
Just like an uncircumcized penis, the clit folds also get a wee bit of smegma! If you pull back the folds of the clitoris, on the sides of the tiny glans, you will sometimes see a miniscule amount of white stuff...and it smells like fish, haha. It's just meant to keep the skin kinda oily, as dry can be uncomfortable, etc.
So if you know youare gonna have someone down there munching out, you should gentley clean all nooks and crannies with some organic soap, not tested on animals, or containing parfum or sodium laurel sulfate..
About the inside of the vagina; if you stick yr finger inside, after cleaning the outside meticulously, and there is a bad smell, then this is a sign of infection. Not a yeast infection, which will just smell kinda like sweet bread, and look like cottage cheese) but a bacterial infection will have a rly BAD smell, so get that treated ASAP
Also, each woman is different; if I eat fish,t hen my Vag will smell like fish. If I dont eat fish, I can still sometimes smell a lil fushy..haha! So I asked my adult daughter about this, and she says she NEVER has smelled like fish!
I have had four children, was always super-fertile, so I feel like the slightly fiishy smell is kind of a smell of Life. The embryo resembles a tad-pole! Love life, and Happy V-Day

my vagina has never smelled like rotten eggs or mildew. jesus...lmfao
I am extremely hygenic and do not normally have any odor ...my arm and my vagina have the same smell.
of course when I get my period and on occasion right afterwards there is a odor...but its easily eliminated by a douche and a razor.
oh and obviously if its real hot out then there is sweat to factor in but again, easily eliminated with a wash cloth and a bar of soap
