Here in Missery, I mean Missouri, our winters are not terribly snowy and as of late have been very very mild, not that I dislike mild, it just seems it throws every thing out of kilter, we need some cold, some moisture, some very cold, all necessary to promote a good spring into summer for a fall back into winter, JMO

What's your favorite thanksgiving side dish?

A. I don't eat turkey or mashed potatoes but everything else I enjoy. I love my mom's cranberry relish.

Q. Does your city/town have a Santa parade?

A: Nope, no parades here - not even any sort of downtown area.

Q: What's something NEW that you're thankful for in your life this year?

A. Friends :) have made some new ones this year that I'm sure will be life-long.

Q. Has anyone had any turkey disasters ?

Yes. It was either an uncooked turkey or the flu, but everyone was violently ill a few hours after dinner.. It was horrible..

Do you have tv/radio traditions at thanksgiving?

I like watching the parade, laural & Hardy - babes in toyland, and like to listen to Alice's restaurant (always on at noon and 5 pm) it's not thanksgiving without them..

A. Thanksgiving tradition for radio to us usually means tuning the car & house stereos in to Christmas music stations. It's a little freaky how much i have to have it at the holidays.

Q. Do you like Daylight savings time or no ?

A: had a fire one year, dadgum turkey slipped into the oil a little to fast, no harm done, just a scorched fryer.

Q: anyone participate in Black Friday?

A: NO, I avoid Black Friday shopping like the plague. To me it is one of the saddest displays of humankind's greed and materialism. When people get trampled to death due to shopping, of all things, there's something very wrong there. But hey, if you're going, have fun and don't step on anybody or vice versa!

Q: What group were you in when you were in high school? (nerds, jocks, etc.)

A: multiple groups, Lettermens Club, FFA, NHSA and yes I had several "dopey" friends

Q: Do you consider how others see you, then strive to maintain that persona or are you a "could care less what others think of you" person

A. I'm a "could care less" what others think of me person. I like who I am, I'm happy with who I am, those who love me, love and accept me for who I am, those who don't, oh well.....I don't live my life according to how others think I should live my life or to anyone else's standards, I live it how I feel I should live it and to my own standards.

A. I think i'm actually 50/50 on that. I think true happiness comes from being able to be comfortable and accepting of yourself so i try to be "me" but at other times i find myself thinking that i might be actually insulting someone so i curb it a little. For instance, when i want to be naughty, i am, unless i think i might be making someone uncomfortable, in that case i curb it so that they can stay comfortable without me messing it up,lol.

Q.Is there any one book that you can say changed your life ?

A. I wouldn't say the book in itself changed my life but it was one of the many tools I used in helping me change my life so I could find and become me again. "After Silence: Rape & My Journey Back" by Nancy Venable Raine
