Someone is missing

For over a year now I've had the feeling that something, or someone, is missing.  Multiple things feel like they are missing, actually.  I'm running out of ways to explain my current situation, which is also lengthy and somewhat difficult to say, so it is best if you go and read all my other discussions.  I'm just trying to get some short distance help.  :'(

I read some of your posts and while you give lots and lots of reasons for why you are unable to connect with people or can’t connect with people, at a certain point you have to ask yourself what small things can I control that could potentially improve my situation? For instance, you can put a plan in place to get your drivers license. I understand the phobia of it but it is still doable. If you aren’t in therapy to help deal with the depression and some of these issues, start there. Talking with someone can help organize your thoughts and help you learn how you can put some things into motion.

Driving is not scary at all if you live in an area with straight, flat roads and not a lot of traffic. It sounds from your other posts like you do.

Do you have a job? Do you have financial, educational, career goals?

I'd start saving up, and make a plan to travel to a larger city where you can find more people like yourself. Find a city that hosts a furfest. If you like it, make a plan to move there. You are young. Be thankful you don't have children tying you down.

@11Christmases, I do have a job, almost have an Associates degree, and my career goals... I'm fine making $13 an hour at a hardware store. The nearest furfest to me is in Chicago, IL which is about 500 miles away from me. Also, I don't like children. They're a burden. Not sure if I would like Chicago though since commute times to and from work are nearly an hour just to travel a couple of miles from all the traffic which will make me more likely to refuse driving.

People who live in Chicago typically commute. It’s actually a really accessible easily commutable city where not having a car won’t prevent you from socializing.

There are a lot of ways to get to and around Chicago without a car. You can afford it, too. If that's still too intimidating, I'm sure there are other cities you could visit where you'd meet other people who share your interests. But I think making some kind of plans for yourself would cheer you up...I think that is true for most people. Getting out of your comfort zone is scary, but we all have to do it sometimes, and the key is taking small steps toward your goal.

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
