She had her tubes cut and burned five years ago. But recently I found out that it is possible for her to get pregnant. She missed her period twice and had nausea and vomit. I searched the web and found out that many women who had their tubes cut and burned got pregnant in spite of that. I got really scared. I am 52 and have never had kids. She is 47. We have been together for a few months only. She took a double pregnancy test and was negative. That was a big relief but now I am scared to finish inside her without a condom. She wants me to finish inside her without a condom. I feel she might get upset if I now insist on wearing a condom. I rather not use one but I dont want to go through another episode of thinking she is pregnant if she misses her period again. She doesnt want a baby either. She told me that if she had gotten pregnant she would have cried the full nine months. But she would never have an abortion so she would learn to love the baby. She went to the doctor and the doctor ordered another pregnancy test, blood -based. I want to use a condom. How can I tell her that without making her upset? She still thinks it is impossible for her to get pregnant. So for her using a condom is ridiculous and takes away much of the pleasure of doing it without one. I know the probability is low but she can get pregnant. It is possible. Its all over the web .
Why don't you get a vasectomy and then all bases will be covered.
Is she allergic to latex? Or just LOVES the feel of your love juice spurting deep inside her (a lot of women do)? I'm just trying to understand her thinking and feelings. I'm sure she's a sweet, wonderful woman.
Idk if i could even go back having sex with someone who is this irresponsible.. There are so many methods of contraception, why not use them? Sorry if i sound too harsh, but i take the issue of pregnancy very seriously, because i am against abortion and if i had to have one it would cause me great emotional distress..
Another concern i have if she insists on no protection, who else did she sleep with without a condom? HPV, Herpes, Hep C? Eeek
Beyond 40, it is pretty difficult to get pregnant (if I remember right, around 43? it is almost non-exisit). Even if pregnancy were to occur, there is a very high likelihood of miscarriage (due to the low quality of the egg). Most celebrities that have babies in their 40's, use an egg donor.
I had my last baby at 38 yr old, and it took me 18 months to get pregnant.
Having said that, my dad's aunt had a baby in her 50's (menopausal baby), so yes, it can happen. But extremely unlikely.
however, that will not protect either one of you from STDs.
A guy friend of mine, his exw had twins at 48, but they used a egg donor.
That being said I am married to the only guy I have ever slept with, and if I had sex with someone else I would insist for STD reasons that they use protection. It isn't just about having a baby but being safe.
I don't think she's going to get pregnant and you already have whatever she has. I would get checked out. I had a big scare myself. Condom broke. Waited a month got tested all clear. Thank god. STDS are serious.
