No, i don't think it is a blown deal if you stayed.

You stayed the night but had no sex, that's not a deal breaker at all. Obviously it wasn't for him either or he would of backed off really fast. If you are interested keep on, if not cut him loose.

Even if you had sex on the first night, it doesn't mean anything. We live in 21st century. Men have equal opportunity to be called sluts if they have sex with you after getting drunk at a party, so if you both decided to have sex that night it should not make you somehow morally inferior to a guy who was a participant!

If you like him, and he obviously likes you, continue to go out. Always bring rubbers to every date (I recommend Trojan Magnums, very sturdy latex), so if you do have sex, no worries, and maintain separate residences, to keep your autonomy and independence. Then when you do get together on dates and even sleepovers, you'll both can chock it up to experiences, keep it clean and just enjoy meeting with each other and having fun, then go back to your separate homes. It's been my experience and apparently the experience of others I read about here that relationships go downhill very quickly when two people live together 7 days a week. Keep it light, but keep communicating.

Everyone chill, I'm in my late 20's haha. Aronia, I know that's how things SHOULD be, but I know a lot of guys who haven't talked to girls again because they thought it was "too easy." Guess that was maybe my primary concern.

You def do NOT want a man who believes in double standards, otherwise you will be making sandwiches in the kitchen because you are TOLD to, not because you love doing it.
The other thing is - if your man chooses to go and brag about his sexcalades to his friends, he is not for you.
This would be the main reason for me not to sleep with someone on the first date - if i m going to share myself with someone, this person is better be worth it. I do not want some guy walking around and discussing what i do during sex with strangers. I have not always felt this way, but i was a dumb kid back then.
Embrace your sexuality and be confident that it is YOUR choice whether you want to sleep around or not, not theirs.

I grew up being told that men don't want women who are too easy. Now I wish I hadn't believed the hype. The happiest couple I know slept together on their first date. Ten years and two kids later, they're still going strong. Now I regret some missed opportunities. The right person wouldn't judge you. He'd probably just be grateful. ;-)

I think it just depends upon the individual(s). When I first met my wife we went back to her fathers condo, (who was out of town). We hugged and kissed and clearly we both wanted each other, but I was a gentleman and did not pursue it farther even though I wanted to REAL bad. It later was revealed that she would have had a one night stand with me but that would have ended it. My thinking was that I could have still made love to her and also loved her forever. I would not have judged her.
