Need to cut off a friend but unsure how
Hi, new to the site so I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this kinda thing.
Warning for CSA? I guess? I'll try to make it short. I've been friends with this guy for like 5 years. He's nearly 5 years older than me. I'm 19 now, but when I was younger I initiated sexual relations with him because of PTSD, depression, dropping out of school, stuff piled up and I needed a way to cope, I didn't have many good ways and I was never shown those good ways. It seemed fine at the time but eventually I matured, found better ways to cope, and realized how fucked up it was, and how much it fucked me up. I decided it was my fault because I "started it" and we could still be friends.
Recently along with more maturity, and a new, genuine happiness in my life, I realized I've hated him for a very long time. I hate being around him, talking to him, hearing about his interests, etc. Personally I think I have good reason. I don't want to know him anymore. He should've never continued with me being so young and it's completely fault. I feel good not talking to him. So I'm confident in it! But, I don't know how to tell him this. I think I want to explain to him why I can't know him. In a neutral way. But I don't know if this is right. And recently, he's fallen into a depression (which is new for him) that I just can't help him with, and I feel like I'm being horrible and mean for wanting to cut him off when he is struggling (even though he had treated my depression with no care in the past)
So I'd just really like some advice! I don't really have anyone to talk to this about in my life at the moment, so it would mean a lot. Thanks ! V●ᴥ●V

We all have 24 hours in a day. How we spend these hours is important. Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do. Gonna have to work on that.Your turn. Tell me another truth.
No one called him a child molester, unless I missed it. This is not about someone wrongly accused of child molestation. Child molestation is not the same thing as having sex with a girl who is under age. Two separate things under law entirely.
I don't know what all the state laws are on age of consent, but I suspect under law, she is not at the age of consent. That means is incapable of consent, get it? Even if she initiated contact, LEGALLY that is not consent due to her age. She was 14 for crying out loud.
In some states, depending on the age, it can be considered felony sexual assault. For instance in my state, it's a second degree sexual assault if you have sexual contact or sexual intercourse with a person who has not attained the age of 16 years.
I do agree that the ages and the people involved and the relationship should be evaluated before labeling someone a sex offender. I mean, I wouldn't consider an 18 year old senior in high school going out with a 16 year old sophomore in high school a sex offender.
However, there may be a reason why you hate him now besides the fact that he should not have been having sex with you - he is a part of the ugly past you want to move on from and he reminds you of that by his presence.
However, he was around when nobody else was.
I would just tell him that you changed and you need to focus on yourself right now.
He will be hurt, but it doesn't matter. You have to save you.
Take care of yourself now.
