When you get in a relationship make it abundantly clear that her money is hers and your money is yours. No financial crossing!! So she doesn't ask you for money because she knew from the beginning your money was yours.

I'm sorry to sound harsh, but you need to redefine what a girlfriend and a relationship is. If you don't, you're in for a pretty rough ride.

@ClearDay1 me and my ex were together for 4 months it would have been 5 if she hadn't asked me for money i told her i can't involved with whatever is going on because its not good for me

If she's in Nigeria that's more than likely a scam sorry to say but I speak from experience unfortunately! My "boyfriend" needed money for something I forget what because it was 2008 when it happened, but I remember he told me he'd send this $2500 check to cash at my bank and I could keep $250 of it; I went to my bank, even though my gut was telling me not to, and cashed it then my bank mgr called me in about 3 days later and I could no longer bank with them and that was my favorite bank! I'd been there for years! I'm not trying to make you feel bad, but please be very careful. And by all means if your gut is telling you no, listen to it!!!

Yea we had met on myspace. He saw my profile and messaged me and I saw his and thought he was cool. We talked for about 3 months before he started talking about the check.
SunCloudJD I'm glad it didn't go any further either! I just felt so awful because I'd even told him I felt something was up with it, but he told me it'd be ok. I learned my lesson the hard way that's for sure!

It just blows my mind how many people get involved with people they have never met.

Maybe because I didn't grow up with the Internet, IDK.

I just don't get how people get so involved, involved enough to refer to someone as a boyfriend or girlfriend, without meeting someone in person.

How do you stop this from happening?...By deleting her number and spamming her emails.
