I sat down an told my husband all of my concerns about him not being more present with me, not helping around the house as much, and my concerns about him going on and off on his medication since it makes him more sleepy and more irritable. after many tears, several deep breaths, trying very hard to not lose my temper with his excuses and finally listening to his side of things and feeling heard as well i think we came to somewhat of an understanding. At least in terms of him helping out a bit more and both of us trying more to spend quality time with each other. i know it is not going to fix everything but it is a start. he has also agreeded to go to marriage counseling with me. i was very nervous about this at first since i always think of it as a last ditch effort to save a failing and broken relationship. my therapsit told me today to not think of it as that but to think of it as a way to increase an understanding of each other and better our communication. I will admit that even with that thought process i am nervous about going still but i think it is a good sign that he is willing to give it a try as well and hopefully we will have a better communication and understanding of each other.

Also having my niece coming around who suffers bipolar and refuses to take medication for it. Its been...

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you both go forward together. :)
Hoping with you. May the precedent lead you to a stronger partnership.
For what it's worth
My hubby and I like to seek our counseling as a preventative measure. We believe prevention is much, much easier than cure. Prevention is far from guaranteed, illness, etc., still happens, but our preventative network can switch to emergency intervention far faster because we already have some clues where to find them and they have some clues who is walking through their door in a psychotic condition.
