I see the honeymoon stage as being the stage where you don't really know everything about each other, you don't know their quirks, their habits, how they deal with stresses, how they handle problems in or out of the relationship, how you treat each other in all different types of situations.
To me the honeymoon stage being over is when you know the person very well, how they are in every day life, how they handle all types of things and after you see all sides of them, you still want to be with him/her.
Well I'd say that although your feelings are valid, I don't think it's a real concern, more like a coincidence. Remember everybody's different, and should be treated as such. If you have these concerns talk to him about it, give him a chance to reassure you that he is different. He seems like a really sweet person as do you. Don't allow your past pitfalls drag down the great things going in your life now, it's not fair to them.
Again, talk to him about your insecurities as it will be an opportunity to bond and build trust.
Good luck to you both.
Relationships move at their own pace...if you both feel good about each other, then it sounds fine ;)
