Can a relationship survive infidelity? Some can and some can't. The cheating partner has to be truly remorseful and willing to change their own attitudes and behaviors. If the cheating partner blames you, or says this is your fault, then this is bad, bad, bad. You can take on his guilt by blaming yourself or you can realize you have value and worth and no one deserves to be cheated on. Some wives accept their husband is untrustworthy and swallow down their feelings because they need his income or they have a lot of children with him or their parents control them and say you can't divorce. It takes time for you to figure out your own emotions and to begin to find healing.
If it’s a boyfriend, for me, it’s a no brainer; I’m done. If we aren’t legally bound I have no reason to stay. But that’s just how my mind works.
But I really do feel it’s a personal decision based on the people involved, the relationship, etc. I would really try to take time focus on yourself right now and what YOU want for yourself.
What do you think you should do?... It would help to know a bit more about the situation.... Big hug... I'm sorry that you've been hurt....xo
If you think you can get over the infedility, try. You both may be able too. And if you can't at least you tried, but please remember your self worth and do not allow it suffer during the process.
