I'm in love but I don't like sharing
Hello everyone,
I am new to this support group as many of you. I am a female dating another female and I want to first claim that I am extremely happy to be involved in this relationship. My gf is such a blessing honestly. The reason I wrote the title was because I have jealousy issues and I often find myself arguing with her about her friends (whom, in my defense have had some sort of attraction towards her). It's affected me so much that I get shaky, my heart starts racin, and I get really mad. I hate feeling like that and in the short time that we have been together, I feel like we have been arguing half the time. I love her dearly. I think she is the love of my life. I just don't want to keep on dealing with these situations.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I think you know this but if half of your relationship is fighting, especially a new relationship, you will end up breaking up.
One of my exes was a trustworthy guy. Once at a restaurant I saw him momentarily check out the waitress' cleavage when she bent down. He looked at me to see if I noticed. I did. But I didn't react. Why? Because he's human. I don't think it's ok to look down anyone's blouse like that but he corrected himself right away, whether it be because I was there or he realized it was just plain inappropriate.
On a later date, same boyfriend, a gay male waiter started hitting on my very straight and uncomfortable boyfriend. I laughed. Karma.
I didn't let a look trip me up. I wasn't worried that he was going to try to get her number when I went to the restroom. Because I trusted him. If I didn't I wouldn't date him.
Do you trust your girlfriend? The attraction that her friends feel for her or may feel is irrelevant. Do you trust her?
If you do, stop starting fights. Because if you trust and love her, you will lose her if you keep doing what you are doing.
So how do you stop? The same way you stop yourself from saying the wrong thing to your boss or a coworker. Use restraint. Think for a moment before the first emotion comes out of your mouth. You should feel that you can be open with her but going on the offensive because someone else finds her attractive isn't being open. It's a relationship killer.
I would work on 'your' jealousy .... Unless she's done something to warrant you to feel this way??
You're going to push her away.... You have a 'fear' of losing her or you wouldn't be jealous??.... Where does the fear come from?
You are both going to be unhappy and this is no good for you to feel this way
Constant fighting is the pits.... It's not going to work out unless something changes IMHO
Gentle hug......xo
