As I was reading I was thinking that if this was anything within the realm of what having a life partner was like, I would happily stay alone forever.
I'm sorry:(. It sounds draining and demeaning. I could never do it.
I agree with Patti that the Abuse board here is very good and you'll gain some good insight and support there.... Big hug and a blessing...x
.
Counseling for yourself would hopefully open your eyes so that you could see how off kilter your husband is
Apologies if I'm blunt, but you've shared a bit before. Your situation doesn't appear to be improving.
Don't forget in the "he" ness of it all (the world does revolve around him after all), you deserve to be happy and peaceful. XO
He needs a hobby. Something to be engaged in everyday. I know he is retired, sounds like he works on side projects, but not enough to be able to have an interest outside of waiting for you to get home so he can get some love, human interaction , etc.
Usually this happens when you have a stay at home mom. She only has kids around all day and needs adult interaction. Your relationship is still fairly new and for him, without the buziness all day to wear him out, he has energy at night when you have none.
its hard to juggle between that.
He needs interest outside of you. You need some help around the house since you work all day. If you two can communicate, being this early in the marriage, it can work out for you. But if he can't get his head out of his pity party of retirement, then Its will be a struggle for awhile.
much luck your way.
He's got NO right to control you like an eight year old.
I'm so glad you're taking action on this because if you don't, it's just going to get worse.
Stay strong. It will be so worth it.:)
Taking your phone and credit card, bull----. You are a grown adult who has a job. SMH
