hello everyone I need a little insight from more experienced people. Let me start with saying I'm in my first relationship, and so is my boyfriend. We've been together for just over a year, though, and we're doing long distance.
Right now we're both really struggling with the stress in our lives, barely have healthy sleeping eating or basic anything schedules, and I've felt for awhile that this is really starting to hurt our relationship. We don't really open up to eachother anymore (and we both already have problems with that to begin with) in fear of Being the cause of more stress or making us depressed or anxious, and it has led to near suicide attempts in the last few months. I'm starting to feel like we both need a break from eachother just to get back on our own feet, but I'm terrified to tell him this yet, or if this is even the right thing to do. :/
All I know is I'm scared, I want to make this work, and I really miss seeing his real side. Thank you for at least reading.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Depression and thinking of attempting suicide is very serious and I hope that you are reaching out for professional help if it's you or your boyfriend if it's him.
Big hug and a blessing
Write them down and try to eliminate them.
I agree suicide is a very serious matter and if the depression is getting that bad you or he need to seek professional help ASAP. I would love to talk one on one with you sometime if you would like. Most things that we make priority in our lives and usually insignificant and cause undo stress.
Big hugs and welcome to the group.
The depression board on here is very good and quite active if you wanted to take a peek at it
The morning after I killed myself i woke up...i made myself breakfast in bed. I added salt & pepper to my eggs. I used my toast for a cheese & bacon sandwich. I squeezed a grapefruit into a juice glass. I scraped the ashes from the frying pan and rinsed butter off the counter. I washed the dishes and folded the towels
The morning after I killed myself, I fell in love. Not with the boy down the street or the middle school principle. Nor with the everyday jogger, or the grocer who always left the avocados out of the bag. I fell in love with my mother and the way she sat on the floor in my room holding each rock from my collection in her palm until they grew dark with sweat. I fell in love with my father down at the river as he placed my note and sent it into the current. With my brother who once believed in unicorns but who now sat at his school desk trying desperately to believe that I still existed.
The morning after I killed myself, I walked the dog. I watched the way her tail twitched when a bird flew by or when her pace quickened at the sight of a cat. I saw the empty space in her eyes when she reached a stick and turned round to greet me so we could play catch, but saw nothing but the sky in my place. I stood by as strangers stroked her muzzle, and she wiltered beneath their touch, like she once did for mine
The morning after I killed myself, I went back to the neighbour's yard where I left my footprints in concrete as a 2 year old, and examined how they were already fading. I picked a few daylillies and pulled a few weeds and watched the elderly woman through her window as she read the paper with the news of my death. I saw her husband spit tobacco into the kitchen sink and bring her her daily meds
The morning after I killed myself, I watched the sun come up. Each orange tree opened like a hand and the kid on the street pointed at a single red cloud to his mother.
The morning after I killed myself, I went back to that body in the morgue and tried to talk some sense into her. I told her about the avocados and the stepping stones, the river and her parents. I told her about the sunset and the dog and the beach
The morning after I killed myself, I tried to unkill myself, but couldn't finish what I had started
Consider this!!
According to the New England Journal of Medicine. Between 1/3rd and 80% of all suicide attempts are impulsive acts. And 90% of the people who survive suicide attempts, don't end up killing themselves either.
As we know, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Please share with family and friends.
I saw this on the depression board, and thought it too good to miss x

Do what you need to do to get yourself on steady ground again. We can't sacrifice our well being for other people. That never goes well.
Please reach out to your parents, another relative, a teacher, counselor, etc for help. You do not have to carry this burden by yourself.
