I agree with the other poster read up on self esteem, ways to deal with others and couseling even. Only YOU control how his words make you feel. And only YOU should control how you feel about yourself regardless of what others say.
I thought I would attach poem that I have created- to this post on some of the things he has said to me that past 5 years.
I've always just been a gentleman I walked you home
Married you when you were pregnant and I get this in return?
Don't fret it's just a ring
I once felt it would make me feel better to have it on, a symbol of our love
A part of me has died, we were happier as friends
You never listen
Things have changed
Dont fret it's just a ring
I once felt that I would be just looking for you again
not any more
You could never understand I have lots of love
You never listen
You will be the death of me
You could never understand I love my friends
We were happier as friends
Ive always tried to be a good gentleman,
I don't think you know what this does
Ive lost my resolve
A part of me has died, I'm spent
Some say you don't want me happy
You could never understand
You used your tears against me
Made me feel obsolete
Nothing I say is good enough
Things have changed
I'm spent
