I have never posted in this group before and have belonged for a while. I was a little scared to share my troubles in my relationship. I am young, only 25 and am engaged. I am feeling like our intimacy is so forced and that if I do nothing to initiate it that it won't happen. Sometimes I think he is not attracted to me anymore, and it makes me pretty self conscious. I am really at a loss and need some advice. Does anyone else go through this?

When i was in the ER February 16th 2025, i was being admitted to ICU where i was for 3 weeks, then had to relearn to walk for 3 weeks in another hospital rehab floor, the nurse told me something that made me feel for over 18 months now that i was finally *safe*. She told me that the guy who raped and beat me 21 years ago now almost 20 years at that time, was in prison as of a month before that...

As far as the sex thing goes,there's really no "normal" thing. It's up to the individual. Is he stressed/depressed about something(s)? This is another reason you should consider premarital counseling, IMHO. Good luck!
