Actually, some " friends" can really sabotage the good feeling you have going with your guy.
If you are even questioning whether you should tell your best friend of not, then it is probably best to not say anything.

With anyone I would just say I'm seeing someone but it's not a serious relationship. If your friend asks, just tell her it's a FWB.

I did the fwb thing for about a year after I broke up with my ex. He was part od the same circle of friends, so most of them knew we were hooking up. A couple of them made comments to me along the lines of "I can't picture you two together" I just told them that we weren't serious, just keeping each other company. Not sure all my friends really condoned the fwb thing, but they accepted it and didn't bother us about it.

He doesnt know any of my friends I know his from school, but he s a few years older than me and most of his friends probably have no idea who I am. But It seems weird but I googled the protocol for fwb and I dont agree with some of them. What is the harm in getting together with his friends or my friends we are just hanging out. Not sure if he wants to do that anyway but its an option. I also dont understand why u shouldnt have dinner together or stay in and watch a movie (friends do that) as long as you both know it means nothing and it ends with sex, whats the problem. But I also wonder if he should ever spend the night?

It can be a blury line sometimes....personally I think its ok as long as you guys agree that you are not looking for anything serious, and keep all elements of romance (flowers, chocolate, love notes) out of the equation. My fwb and I would go to group eventa with friends, go out to movies, ect together. I even ended up living with him for a few months because I got laid off my job and couldn't afford rent. But living with him still was more of us hanging out, and me helpi g out around the house. We made sure to maintain communication that things were not serious so that nobody got misled. When I decided I was ready to go back to dating, we ended things well, and still talk on occasion.

It's been my experience that, when I'm happy, I don't tell anyone that I'm happy. I ESPECIALLY don't brag. Pride is asking for trouble. People get jealous of happiness, and they'll do everything in their power to tear you down, so you're once again miserable, like them.

I'm talking about your female friend, not your FWB lover. When she becomes nosy and asks "So...how was your date?" Just say "great". Keep it short. It's none of her goddamn business.

I don't see the point in telling your GF about it. It's not a boyfriend relationship, it's a non-relationship. There's really nothing to tell IMO.
