Thanks again
( I ve done both and I like the stable relationship better )
Step two - if you decided you want to date other people, you need to pick whether you want to FWB monogamous, date only one person at a time OR date/FWB multiple people at a time.
Whatever you pick, the people you date need to know where you stand and what your expectations are of them.
If you both agree to see other people - great. If you both agree on monogamy - great.
You do not have to disclose to the other person that you are seeing someone in details, but if you choose to poly date it is only fair to explain to your dates that this is what you are doing and ask them where they stand on this subject.
FWB is not complicated. The only thing that effs it up is if someone does something stupid like catching feelings for the other. If it's all about sex, then it's pretty easy to navigate.
However, be prepared to answer questions as well.
If you want to know if he has other partners, of course you have the right to ask, but will he be honest, what has he got to lose by lying (it's not like he has a long term vested interest if you kwim?).
I've had one running for about 8 years now. We have clear rules and it works well.
