I am all about eating and being healthy. What motivated me was nutrition education, but I don't know what it will take to motivate him.
He is 5'9", weighs 325 pounds, and is 42 years old. He is one of those people who thinks that he knows what he is doing until it blows up in his face (which has happened many times), but I'd rather he make changes now before his heart or brains craps out. I'm especially concerned about his heart because he did beat diabetes type II less than a year after being diagnosed by that's only because he was taken off of the medication that caused it. He only wants to watch TV, drink beer, and eat fast food or food with lots of carbs and sodium, which is like pouring acid on his Bipolar Disorder diagnosed brain. And yes, he will buy his own junk food if he doesn't want to even try the healthy food I prepared.
I'm trying my best not to nag him, but he is getting on my last nerves. Any suggestions on how to get him motivated?
