I hate taking narcotics. Now I'm only on the Meth.10mg. twice TIDn Endo told me it would take from two to four weeks for the pain in my arms and shoulders to go away. So what is good to take for the pain and discomfort. She told me to call my medical md for something for the pain. Don't want to if I can advoid it but I'm miserable.

You might want to find out your next labs of the FT3 and the FT4 if it has been four weeks. It's possible the ATD amount still is too much for you.

It took me a lot longer to recover from the pains of being so hypO the first time around. I suffered for over nine months.

P.S. Really there was no good way for me to quickly raise the levels, especially that of the FT3 which I felt as muscular aches and joint pains...

Since you're hypO I would suggest you don't eat any raw goitrogen foods to lower down the Free Ts some more.

Yes, again Mm is right. You feel this way because of your low low free levels. I love the way docs just keep giving thyroid patients other meds to try to fix us when the low frees are the root of a lot of symptoms. Depression and fatigue"here's an anti-depressant.." "oh you have pain, here's a pain pill." So stupid.. I think 10 will be too much for you too, You should have labs done in a week or 2 since you lowered from 20-10. When were your last labs? About a month ago?

Snippy, were these your original labs?(June) What were they in August? If these are the original, you weren't hyper but hypo. Your doc went by tsh which in Hashimoto's can be all over the place. The key is the FT4 and yours is way low.

p.s. if you are hypo, narcotics will make you feel worse. Can you take ibuprofen for now?

I lowered from 40 to 20. I was taking 40mg a day now I take 20. I tried talking to them friday and all they could say was I had to give it a few more weeks
