I’m so glad that Mika’s mental state is stabilising and slowly further improving.
He is no longer falling back in his -how I call it Baby state- but remains in an improved state of a young school kid. He still likes me to baby him but asks questions as he seems to understand better his environment. He is starting to read and I’m thrilled that he wants to read himself while I have him next to me. Before I was reading to him from baby picture books and he just pointed to things he liked with his finger by turning his head to see my face. Now I read him from children books and he asks questions about the various characters. Some months ago he had his paci in his mouth and just made noises but now he tries to speak clearly and of course without his paci. I notice that even he didn’t speak in the past while we read the books he still learned. I have him now with a speech therapist and he makes good progress.
When I said he still wants me to baby him it means that he still gets bathed and diapered and we have our good night routines and his special clothing methods. He still needs to feel this security of him being my baby boy and that his mommy is always around.
However, I’m looking forward of him becoming slowly more independent. Maybe one day he will be able to change his diapers himself so there is less physical work for me by getting him on his changing table. But for now I’m focused on teaching him reading and writing and enjoy his progress with one baby step after the other.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
most excellent update, yojana. thank you. those itsy bitsy baby steps do, indeed, add up quickly while making for sustainable progress.
