Just after New Year, Pinky's boyfriend got MRSA and he'll be in the hospital/rehab until Feb. 17th getting antibiotics.

Pinky SEEMS to be OK, but when she came down this weekend she had a black eye -- ready for the reason? Are you really ready?

She walked into a door.

I swear, that was her explanation. I almost fell on the floor, laughing, and I told her she should at least try to come up with something better than that.

My husband notice that she looked pale, and I agreed. But as I said, she seemed OK all weekend. Lover Boy's car is acting up so she got a ride to our house with a girlfriend. But some guy picked her up to take her home, and she wouldn't give a name -- just "a friend."

Hoo-boy. I hope she isn't going off the rails again. At this point I don't care about her as much as I'd hate to lose a babysitter.

My 5 YO GD seems like a very old soul sometimes and is frequently more insightful than her 25 year old mother. Go figure! Can't blame drugs for her though, maybe onset of mental illness has the same arrested development effect.

It's funny how you think of certain things in the middle of the night.

Pinky said that she got up to use the bathroom and didn't bother to turn on the light. She claims that the bed is very close to the bathroom door, and she bumped into the open bathroom door as she got out of bed.

At 3am it hit me: Bathroom doors open INTO the bathroom, not out into the bedroom.

She's definitely lying, and that's the worst sign of all.

Maybe she ticked off one of her "friend's" girlfriends and someone clocked her one. Hmmm??

Thats so funny GMaWilli that happened to my daughter, she still had J.J., it was just before we got him. She had a friend of hers living with her and the friend had a small baby, my daughter left early in the morning with their laundry and said she was going to do the laundry at a friends in the complex she lived in. She didn't come home till the next morning, when she got home almost 24 hrs later leaving her friend with J.J. and a small baby. They got into a big fight and my daughter called her friend a bad mother, the girl punched my daughter in the face giving her a black eye. A little while after i had J.J. her friend called me to come and see J.J., she was a nice girl, she told me the story, and needless to say she doesn't associate with my daughter anymore. Too funny !!!

It's easy to imagine. We put up with more than our fair share because they are our daughters (or sons) and because we are mature enough to maintain composure - but out there in the real world, they might not be so lucky and some people might not put up with their BS as long as we do. I'm surprised my son hasn't been assaulted or murdered considering his lifestyle and I can't say much more for my daughter.
