So I'm wondering who this "friend" is who drove 45 miles round trip just to take her home again. If it was LoverBoy's best friend she would have invited him in -- after all, he'd be the best man, no? But she was all secretive about who he was. We didn't even see him..
Something is afoot!
I still can't get over "walking into a door." LOLOLOL!
Sure doesn`t sound good from here....
Lover Boy has been in the hospital since New Year's, which means Pinky is home alone all day -- something she can't deal with. She hasn't been calling the kids every evening the way she used to, either. Just a few times each week. I suppose if she's using again she's at the stage where she doesn't need it every day yet. But if she is using she'll be at that stage in no time at all.
I hope she remembers that she will never see the kids again if we find out that she is using.
The problem with Lover Boy is that we don't know him any better now than we did more than a year ago. He seems VERY private. He'll answer a question, but doesn't usually go beyond that.
We don't think the relationship will last, so we're trying to keep the kids from seeing too much of him until they either you-know-what or get off the pot.
Sounds like the safest plan to me. Id keep the contact limited too.
Pinky has told me many times that she doesn't have any friends. She says that's on purpose because she doesn't want to fall back into drugs. Therefore, the only people she would know other than Lover Boy's friends are druggies.
And a black eye from running into a door? Puhleeeeze! An open kitchen cabinet door in the dark, maybe. But I've almost walked into an open bedroom door once or twice and I know it would've been a bloody nose -- not a black eye.
I wonder if maybe Pinky is having an issue with just being lonely or if this is a new "friend" that may be a threat to her continued sobriety. I agree that a black eye from "running in to a door" is just a bit too hard to believe.
They can`t be alone.. Have these nameless friends. When will they
ever grow up and become women? My daughter will be 37 years old soon
and she still acts like a young teenager. You know what they say, you
stay as young as you are when you start using drugs (emotionally) that is. You just stunt your emotional growth as you continue to mature age wise. Its disturbing when the 8 yr old seems more mature than the 37 yr old in many ways. uh..
