The social worker expects me to keep doing things over and over, like a never ending cycle. I have done it all and more, now working on the next list. This is the state of VA. I truly do not know what more to do to meet her expectations.

Social workers are great lovers of repetition, but then? ? ? Isn't there a whole heap of repetition involved in providing a stable environment for children? That said, I am ever so happy to have the Texas social workers out of my equation. Their hearts are in the right places, but they are functional pains in the ass.

Keep venting, Gran. Getting ^it^ into words often makes helps me find solutions. The right answer to the wrong question seldom gets us where we want to go.

More steadying support.

I so understand social workers have a great amount of case loads, but still they need to be helpful and professional. I have found that when she is in front of her supervisor, she misconstrues the whole situation to make herself be the good lady. I am older than her and she acts totally disrespectful, and loves to over talk me.

Yea, we ran into a few social workers like that during our confusing waltz through CPS, especially after the Corona crowning. Televised social work sucks. I handled them with simple compliance for as long as it took to get them off my cloud and started looking for empathy among the other social workers on the case. The good ones are fully aware that there are some rotten apples in the barrel. It's a BIG barrel.

Arguing with a fool only proves there are two fools. Perhaps if you come here to visit before the next appointment with this rotten apple you will be better prepared to neutralize her. Maybe? Listening, if you care to give it a whirl and see how it twirls.

I dont argue with her but there seems to be no winning. It is like she punishes me for her own mistakes. I have tried to comply with everything possible. Crying...miss my grandson so very much!

I have completed and passed the psychological assessment, iq test, mental evaluations, word association and so forth. Only to get another list to do. Now she has led around the barn so many times it isn't funny. Don't do any of this until funding is approved and so forth. Due to covid so many things are online such as this site which was plainly recommended by the Dr who did the psychological evaluation, but she wont approve it because she cant monitor it. Same things for most of the other requests.

COVIDic social work gets my vote as the worst development EVER. In the absence of actual work, I suspect too many of them are clustered in their respective isolation chambers cooking up new and improved ways to torture us from a safe social distance. Like fighter pilots, they now get to drop bombs on civilian targets without ever having to see the faces of their victims. To them, it is a virtual (almost) experience.
