They did yes (i.e. take biopsies). I've never heard of eosinophilic disorder, is this something they would normally see/test for? Nothing much came up on the "visual" of the endoscopy, I didn't really expect it to. I don't see my Dr. for 3 mos (I live in Canada and it can take months for appointments, tests and results if you are not a priority patient).

I have been recently diagnosed with gastritis and Barretts without cell changes. These posts have really been comforting to me. I am 32 years and will be married soon but I have lost all enthusiasm towards this. I feel as though I would now be a burden to my fiance and future kids. I have been suffering for 2 months now and hoping that in time I would heal but it is hard to stay positive. I have burning and slight pains under my breast bone at my chest. The pain and discomfort is bad but I have still been able to work. I do feel very weak and tired in the morning but energy levels are up mid day. my appetite is dull and I have been losing weight ( about 10 lbs ) over the 2-3 months, mainly because I have not been eating well.

Papelle I just wish I could give you a great big hug! please don't give up!!! I'll keep you in prayer and wish that you get some ease soon. Hope the endoscopy went well. I do share your opinion that doctors are dismissive when it comes to chronic disease treatment.

Thanks Sadiee. I've been doing a bit better lately...hoping it is an on-going up trend and not the up and down I've been experiencing for the last year but we will see :). Chronic pain/discomfort do chip away and sap enjoyment of life for sure. I also feel like a burden to everyone around me and as a result, I tend to shut myself off when I am not doing well. It's hard to care about other people's lives...I get very selfish and jealous of everyone's good health and frustrated when they complain about being too busy with kids and work etc. etc. I would give anything to be too busy with children and work! Anyway, I hope you have had a frank conversation with your fiance about this. I am sure he loves you and supports you, but it is important not to hide these kinds of feelings away (in my experience anyway). Trying to pretend nothing is wrong to loved ones is exhausting and, for me anyway, makes me more stressed and more sick. Chronic illness can feel like it consumes you but I think we need to remember that we are much more than our sicknesses and we still have a lot to offer. Take care :).

Don't give it up, it will go. 2 years in I gave up milk, inc in tea. Still have a little cheese and butter but no milk. It helped me, maybe try it yourself.

You are not alone Papell I also have several health problems Gastric, Heart Failure, Osteoporosis, and in remission from Breast Cancer and had a nasty skin cancer beside my eye which meant after the op I had lost the lymph nodes so it is a problem with infections,Like you I have no partner to lean on and I too am now reduced trying to survive on disability allowance. At times I feel like I would be better off gone but then I get an ok day and I fight on hoping that all these niggling symptoms will ease or I will find a Dr who will take the time to help me. I work hard at keeping my symptoms under control mainly from research into my conditions and in a way it has kept me going although I would give the world to wake up and for even one day feel like I did a few years ago and be able to hop out of bed enjoy a good breakfast dress up and take off somewhere on my own for a day out. I do hope you feel better in yourself soon and please try to stay positive and keep busy I find that helps. Put on some of your favourite music and lie back and listen I find it really helps me to relax. I am waiting for an app with a physio as I have developed severe neck and shoulder pain that is also causing dizzy spells...It never ends
