Gastritis Support Group
Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
Nothing worked for me before I tried it.
Also consider Gastromend HP, which has it as one of the many ingredients. Another ingredient of Gastromend is mastic gum, which kills H. Pylori. It also contains DGL, Vitamin U, and other stuff.
Sorry to hear you're having a bad flare. I too take 2 prevacid a day. When I'm bad, I find that zantac 150 helps (75 doesn't do anything). For natural suppliments, I take DGL and just don't take them right with the prevacid, but a bit closer (but not sure if it matters). I started drinking coconut water, which is soothing (room temp may be better) and have tried a heartburn tea, but not sure if it does much.
I also have ordered Pepsin GI as recommended by shihonage but it hasn't arrived yet . From what I understand, it can be taken with meds.
Hope you get some relief.
