Gastritis is a medical term for inflammation of the lining of the stomach. It means that white blood cells move into the wall of the stomach as a response to some type of injury. Gastritis has many underlying causes, from infection with the bacterium H. pylori, bile reflux, or excessive consumption of alcohol or certain foods or drugs like aspirin.
I had mild gastritis and I took mastic gum for a week and it has helped resolved the burning and stinging sensations. For those of you interested in taking it, it can be bought from health shops and from amazon. I would advise those with chronic gastritis to start off gently with one tablet a day and see how your symptoms are. It will take a couple of days to kick in. It is supposed to help with inflammation and helps heal peptic ulcers in 2 weeks. some people take more than the recommended dose of one. I started off with one to see if I had an allergy and after a few days i increased to two morning and night on a empty stomach and after four days I went to 3 times daily spacing them out. Mine resolved after 10 days.

I'd try to eat like a toasted cheese with it at breakfast and then take it at supper. I called it my poison, but I got rid of it. Just stick with it.
(I'd take probiotic with lunch.)
