i tried my manuka honey and it couldn't do it. I tried melting it down in warm water, still, bothered my stomach.

Ive started it for a week the Wedderspoon 16 so far not much difference I dont have hpolyri though and I think thats its main effectiveness!

its supposed to be for bacterial and non bacterial gastritis. I only started yesterday and at the worst it will do nothing. You need to take it on some food. A small piece of bread or something so it breaks down in digestion. If you take it alone it goes straight to you bloodstream. I don't believe any one thing cures or treats this acid girl, welcome by the way, and as this illness take a long time to treat you may need to try these things for longer. If nothing else it is good for you anyhow.

Well im still going to keep doing it, I plan on trying something each for a while before I just give up on it.. gastritis can take a long time to heal some people years some people never, my friend was healed on the Bastyr Formula with DGL and mastic gum along with slippery elm and Aloe Vera so I'm doing this combo next. Im sorta doing things in small combos for at least two months to see if i can land a good combo without PPI first. The manuka honey Im just gonna take anyways with any of the combos its just honey on bread works or not who knows.

you have the right attitude for this illness. I wish there was some way of fast tracking it but sadly there isn't. All we can do is keep trying and stay positive. I have to admit I'm struggling to find hope at the moment. I know it will return. good luck with everything you try. so glad you have a supportive man in your life.

So far this week Im eating a lot of cabbage and juicing carrot and brussel sprouts these are healing foods for gastritis and finding some relief on these foods, I think Ill start having a cup of it every day along with which every combo treatment ends up giving some relief. Don't worry when i find a combo treatment that actual gives some relief or shows some hope Ill post it in full along with the foods or other methods Im using. I'm sorta all over right now ..heh!:)

woah. i'm so surprised your tummy is handling cabbage and sprouts. They are huge no nos for gastritis. As juice cabbage is meant to be good I tried it in the early stages and my stomach gurlgled like mad and the taste was foul. I'll try most things to heal this but I draw the line and that juice. Even mixed with carrot and ginger it was yukko.
When are you going to India for this treatment you mentioned earlier?

I've just started taking it - I'm just eating a spoonful a day - is this ok?

I actually take Manuka Honey in my tea. It does work for me.

start at a spoon ful a day but if you can tolerate more aim for four times a day. Don't eat it straight or it goes into the blood stream Eat it on a small piece of toast or bread so it makes its way safely through your system. I've been on if for months and swear by it. Let us know how you go.

I think its pretty tasty a bit strong but good, but I also do not get much results from eating this honey heh.. maybe just me but everything I looked into for this honey its excellent for again if you have hpolyri but I havent read on it actual healing gastritis itself after hpolyri or without hpolyri.. maybe its just me though should def give it a shot!

i figure the honey is worth the shot. bacteria or not as it is still a great healer for so many things. It may do good elsewhere if nothing else. Besides doesn't it taste gooood. It's also a carb so good with weight gain! I need that by the bucket loads. It may not be listed for ordinary gastritis but I feel it has helped me. It is all so individual though isn't it?

I have been taking Manuka honey on a small piece of bread for about a month. Along with aloe vera juice mixed in with carrot/ginger/apple juice, a probiotic, slippery elm, and a protein powder (the health store person said it helped her so I was willing to give it a go).

Plus at night I put a warm heat pack on my stomach to go off to sleep.

My jar of 20+honey is just about empty so I will be getting another one.

Not sure what the secret magic mix is but I am no longer taking PPI and my stomach pain is lessening. It hasn't gone completely. At the moment I am kicking myself for having a warm very weak cup of tea - wanted to test myself!

I am optimistic that I am getting somewhere as the pain is not dominating my day!

That's how I started to get better, I found a little regime which suited me including the honey and aloe vera and probiotic. Have you tried Silicol Gel, it is so fab and soothing instantly.

I have just had a week cuppa and now have the gripes which will last ages so I will grab the Silicol Gel fast.
